Per Kubrick questo ed altro...poi considerando che le precedenti edizioni non hanno extra (solo Shining ha un bel making of e EWS qualche intervista) e che Eyes Wide Shut non ce l'ho...beh, saranno tutte mie!
Azz, che tentazione.... razionalmente aspetterei di passare all'hd e di evitare queste riedizioni... ma ne varrà la pena? da quello che ho letto full metal jacket in hd non è niente di eccezionale.
Non stò nella pelle, le attendevo da una vita, per questo non ho alcun dvd del Maestro (targato Warner), ho solo "Spartacus" e "Il Dottor Stranamore", sapevo che prima o poi sarebbero uscite a due dischi!
Ovviamente le prenderò tutte, e spero non si dimenticheranno di rieditare a due dischi anche gli altri Kubrick della Warner!

Anch'io aspettavo delle riedizioni finalmente con extra. C'è da dire che la qualità tecnica delle precedenti warner era già ottima (per quelli che ho visto). Cmq, difficile resistere alla tentazione di riprendere 2001.

Non c'è la certezza però pensandoci propenderei più per il si visto che gli stessi 4 film sono stati annunciati in Blu Ray e HD-DVD (e quelli è sicuro che avranno il nuovo master).

Beh, ma il seamless branching (con l'aggiunta delle scene "americane" a vantaggio di noi poveri "europei") potrebbe non far arrrabbiare il maestro
E poi sul 16/9 di Shining... ho letto qualcosa a proposito...dalle Kubrick FAQ The entire negative was exposed, meaning that there was no in-camera hard matting so the film was effectively shot in Academy 1.37 but it wasn't intended to be shown in cinemas that way. The film was shot and conceived for 1:1.85 ratio screening (and the camera viewfinders had the 1.85 framelines marked on them) This is the standard ratio that widescreen films in the US are projected in. The 1:185 crop was achieved when the film was projected onto cinemas screens.
L'A/R originario e' 4/3 FS ma, il film e' stato concepito e girato in WS (1:85:1).
