We have received word from Paramount confirming that the error was due to quality control issues at Technicolor. As part of the Paramount's and Techicolor's continued dedication to providing consumers with the best possible Blu-ray experience, they have setup a replacement program for the defective discs. Those who have purchased the disc can either return the disc to the retailer or contact Technicolor directly at 888-370-8621 for the US or Canada and 08000-852-613 in the UK. Technicolor expects replacement discs to be at retailers by May 18th.
perchè non ci sia panico dilagante....devo dirvi innanzitutto che sulla traccia italiana è tutto ok....che nessuno ha riscontrato problemi anche sulla traccia inglese .sembra che il difetto sia solo sui bd americani...ma che per sicurezza abbiano messo tutti nello stesso calderone.inoltre il problema (che ripeto è solo sulla traccia originale e dovrebbe durare circa 10 minuti) si presenterebbe solo con alcune catene video...quindi come vedete una tempesta in un bicchiere d'acqua

Amazon UK has resumed sales of Saving Private Ryan, under a different identification number. The previous release was ASIN B0035ER236, whereas the new release appears under ASIN B003LVZYL0, and with the message "Usually dispatched within 1 to 3 weeks."
The German release has been pushed back one week, to May 21. The Spanish release, initially slated for May 26, has been delayed without a date. The French release hasn't changed its street date of June 3.

Se ci fosse cambierebbero molte cose.. la mia titubanza per l'acquisto di questo film sparirebbe completamente. Detto questo prenderei la steel su Play
scusate, ma la versione bd di Salvate il soldato Ryan in vendita su Play, è quella "difettosa" o già sostituita???

Sembra che non tutte le copie siano difettose (link)...
cmq meglio aspettare anche un pò, magari x acquistare con sicurezza la steel tedesca... (per il momento non è disponibile)
"Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced Alfred Hitchcock's horror classic Psycho for release on Blu-ray on October 19, in a "meticulously restored" 50th Anniversary Edition, with a new 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack (the original mono audio track will be included as well). It will be presented in a single-sided BD50. Psycho will also be honored during its landmark anniversary by the upcoming 2010 Cannes Film Festival."

Sembra che la data sia stata anticipata al 2 agosto per entrambi i Blu-ray. Molto meglio la cover UK! Purtroppo per molti italiani, non sembrano esserci lingua o sub ita.
